Project two.
Self Paced Standalone Computer Based Training
Project Description
I noticed many learners struggled with handling the technology during their walkthrough test of our price engine, Easy Qualifier aka EQ. When I asked learners if they felt they were unable to perform on the informational content of the test because they were too distracted by the technology, their responses inspired me to create this CBT.
I wanted learners to have the opportunity to focus on learning why they are entering specific loan or borrower information into the pricing engine and then be able to answer fundamental questions about the results.
I knew this project would need two main sections: one where the learner will enter information into a simulated broker scenario and another where they will be guided in how to analyze the pricing results. I created a PowerPoint storyboard with a general scenario, script and branching ideas before I started building. This PPT served as a point of reference as I worked through the navigational logic in Storyline.

A reoccurring theme I noticed throughout creating this project was the importance of fully thinking through which pieces of navigation will be layers and which will be a new slide. In future projects I will be more diligent to understand trigger limitations when switching to a new slide.
